The opening of the NEXUS concert series by Isa Sophie Zünd features the element Aether, unknown to us today. Aristotle described this ancient element as mutable and timeless. Since in music, silence—the inaudible—is just as important as the audible, we have incorporated this element into the series. The Canadian pianist Alice Burla will present a transcendent program, accompanied by a minimalist narrative that reflects the element’s invisibility.
